All nestled in beautiful downtown Marion, the senior and disabled apartments managed by the Marion Housing Authority offer comfortable, secure, and affordable living. Our four locations feature homey one-bedroom apartments and an unparalleled community environment. The Marion Housing Authority would love to welcome you into your new home
Rent: The rental rate for a one-bedroom apartment is $429 per month, which includes utilities (electricity, water, and trash removal) as well as access to the many community features and services provided for residents
Rent Assistance: Through our partnership with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), rent assistance is available to low-income individuals and families. For those who qualify, approximately 30% of tenants’ monthly income is expected to be applied towards rent, and then HUD pays the difference. Medical expenses can also be used as deductions from the tenant rent portion. Rents are also adjusted with changing income.
Contact our Main Office for more information, to see if you qualify, and to schedule an appointment.
How to Apply: To apply, call Marion Housing Authority’s Main Office to make an appointment with the property manager.
Waiting List: We currently have one waiting list for all four of our properties for seniors and disabled. The criteria that must be met to be placed on the waiting list is the senior or disabled status; or, if our waiting list is exhausted and you are at least 50 years old, you may qualify as being near senior.
